Stella ~ Sitter

I didn’t get a chance to meet Miss Stella when she was a newborn…but I am so glad I get to capture her sitting session and her first birthday!  Truly there aren’t many things greater than watching these little ones grow and change!  Miss Stella was very curious about being outside….she loved being able to touch the leaves….and feel the breeze!  Can you see these adorable blue eyes…look out mom and dad…she is a beauty!

It’s never to late or to early to capture you children in photographs or to have their portraits made.  I hear a lot about how I didn’t take these pictures for my first child, or I missed doing them for my second…or my third is 2 and we haven’t done pictures yet.  That is fine…do it now. There are so many things that aren’t the same for kids….so it doesn’t matter when you capture their images…or what ages….just that you do it.

Did you know it is really healthy for your kids to see their images on your wall.  It helps develop a strong, positive, confident sense of who they are.  Hanging portraits of your children makes them feel special…shows them the place they hold in your heart and mind…that they are the FEATURE of your life.  Are you waiting to have portraits done of your older kids because you are about to have a baby?  Don’t wait…having those pictures of them up on the wall before the new baby arrives will make them feel special.  The world is about to become all about baby…but that one slice of wall where they are featured will let them know they are special too!

I recently re-did some frames my hallway.  I had three images (one of each of my kids) in a serious of frames…they were the same pics as I have canvas hanging in another room (so I got behind and and it took me a while to redo them he he he).  When the kids saw that I had changed them (I put my nieces and nephew up instead)…each of them asked individually of each other…”Why did you take our pictures down?”.  Pretty powerful really!

So get those portraits taken…and then HANG THEM UP!
