March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month

When I first thought about this…and blogging everyday this month…and taking all this time to “Share the Blue”, I almost talked myself out of it. I wondered if I should really be broadcasting my story all over the place. I wondered how many people would be totally annoyed…especially those of you who subscribe and get emails and expect to see squishy cute sweet little babies! 🙂 Butt (he he he) now here I am…talking about Loving your Butt, Never Too Young, Screen Saves…and the mass in my ass! Oops! 🙂

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month…and if I have learned anything from my journey…it is that I was given a gift to still be here…to still get watch my kids grow, to love my husband, to nurture my friendships…and to help save someone else!

I was so humbled on March 6th National Dress In Blue Day…my newsfeed filled with friends and family SHARING THEIR BLUE! Even people I don’t personally know wore blue in honor of me…but more so to raise awareness for Colon Cancer! Anyone can say what they want about small towns…but this small town of mine sticks together…and it is amazingly comforting to be a part of it!

I have also heard from 4 people this month that are going to take their health more seriously…they are or a loved one are going to get SCREENED! It’s so important. Listen to your symptoms…and don’t ignore them. Do as I say now…not as I did then…and just maybe you won’t have to do those 10 rounds of chemo…or have that surgery to remove a foot of your colon!

I’m so very humbled and blessed to have all of these people in my life!
