Colon Cancer Awareness MonthP I N_______I M A G E

Today is DRESS IN BLUE DAY for Colon Cancer Awareness Month!  It’s also my BIRTHDAY!!  Time to Celebrate!!

Birthday’s feel a bit different now than they did two years ago.  Two years ago I turned 35…I was burnt out from work, I felt crazy busy, I was going thru the days in a blur.  I had been working out and was starting to notice changes in my body more.  I was exhausted all the time…but I believe (and honestly still do) that is was just from working, raising three kids, and just plain keeping up with life!  Little did I know 2 short months and 4 days later I would hear that dreaded word…CANCER!

You can read my story here.

But here I am 2 years later turning 37 and so happy for it!  Yes…I am getting older…YES…I have more gray hairs (I like to call it tinsel)…Yes there are more wrinkles, laugh lines, frown lines…my knees pop all the time…etc. etc…but I am here!  And I am healthy!  I am thankful for that everyday!

I am going to be posting every Friday this month about Colon Cancer and some personal stuff about my journey.  Hopefully by sharing I can help inform at least one person…and they get screened and they find out that NO its not cancer but its something else…or YES (boo) it is Cancer but its early and we caught it soon enough!

So today…Wear Your Blue!  And tell everyone you see WHY you are wearing it!  I plan to wear Blue Every Friday this month as well…and yes…I will be sharing my story with anyone who will listen!

SO MUCH BLUE TO CHOOSE FROM MY AFFILIATES!
