Cancer SURVIVOR

 

May 8th 2014 I became a Cancer Patient and a Cancer Survivor!  Did you know you could be both at once?  Yep…you are a survivor everyday that you survive this stupid disease…even if you only survived a day!  Yep, I didn’t know that either.

I went LIVE today and FB and talked a little about how much I appreciated everyone during that time.  I busted out my stack (HUGE stack) of cards and letters and drawings I received.  They all mean so much to me…then and now.  Sometimes it is hard for me to look at them and remember…but every time I feel the warmth and prayers of all those people!

I have always loved quotes and I received this beautiful book as a gift after surgery.  When I opened it up today so many of the quotes were speaking straight to what I needed to hear in this moment!  Just like they did 3 years ago…just today I have new challenges and new battles to fight (not with my health).
